As an expressive arts therapist, movement educator, and artist, I teach body mind integration to enhance creativity, learning, and growth.  Intensive study of the embodied awareness practices of Tamalpa Life/Art (with Anna Halprin and Daria Halprin), Continuum (with Emilie Conrad and Elaine Colandrea), and Vipassana meditation (at Spirit Rock Meditation Center) deeply informs my work. As a member of Tamalpa Institute‘s faculty and the Continuum Teachers Association, I facilitate learning and growth for individuals and groups world-wide.

On-going experiential and academic research about the impact of movement and creativity on human development, at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and other places, also shapes my teaching and learning.

For nine years, I served on the Board of Directors of the International Somatic Movement Education and Therapy Association (ISMETA). Currently, I co-chair their Research and Publications Committee and present internationally on expanding the base of evidence for somatic movement practices.

“You will not regret working with Elisabeth. Trust me. Her warm and glowing presence reflects her deep passion and understanding of the body, movement, and learning. She leads by example, teaching from the heart and interacting with her students/clients/peers with authenticity and transparency. After a session working together, my mind felt refreshed and my body felt more like home than I could have ever imagined.”
